BQT's miPASS suite of Mifare 13.56MHz PC readers is the gateway to secure user authentication for IT security applications such as PC Login, Data Encryption, Network Security and Single Sign-On.

The miPASS PC Series range offers the latest in IT security for networks, workstations, PC's and software applications. Superior security is delivered through encryption and user authentication features, utilising the one smart card for a PC logon, photo ID and building access requirements.

The PC Series readers are activated via the detection of a miPASS card and/or fingerprint. A card holder's pre-encoded data is stored in the memory chip of a miPASS card, such as a Password/PIN or fingerprint template to authenticate the card holder. Upon validation an encrypted password is sent to the PC for processing by an application with flexible user options, such as securing a drive or folder, creating a secure internet link, logging off or shutting down a PC.

Authentication is performed locally within the PC Series reader and does not require reference to a centralised database, thus improving performance and eliminating privacy concerns.

Combined with the adaptability of Mifare technology, the readers facilitate the future proofing of your investment in secure access control. The memory structure of the miPASS card allows for multiple applications to be added to the card, such as the integration with miPASS readers for building access control. BQT's miPASS technology allows you to share the same card for building access and IT security, giving you a `one card' solution to cater for all access control requirements for years to come.

The miPASS PC Series range, miB and miC readers, are both available in three different models depending on your security requirements.
PC Login and Encoding software applications to support the PC Series readers.

miB-DF/miC-DF - DESFire Technology The miB-DF & miC-DF DESFire readers offers 3DES encryption between a DESFire card and reader, delivering the most secure card transaction process available. It can be configured with customised encryption keys unique to each customer. miB/miC - Mifare Technology The miB & miC Mifare readers can be confi gured with customised encryption keys unique to each customer. miB-P/miC-P - SPEK Technology The miB-P & miC-P readers feature miPASS SPEK (Secure Proximity Encryption Keys) for secure transmission between a miPASS card and the reader.
