Rob Broomfield – Group Chief Executive Officer
Rob is an experienced business executive with more than 20 years of management experience including the past 18 years in senior positions within companies operating in the security industry. Prior to joining Ava Group, he was with Vision Systems Limited, where he served as the General Manager of Asia Pacific for their Fire and Security systems. In addition to his international sales and marketing success, Rob has extensive experience in operations management, including product engineering, procurement, manufacturing and operations. He has previously had 10 years’ experience with IBM in Australia and the United States. Rob is based in Melbourne.
Neville Joyce – Group Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary
Neville is a highly experienced financial and commercial executive with proven expertise across multiple sectors including energy, mining, technology and manufacturing. With extensive experience in leadership, management and strategic financial analysis, Neville has held senior finance positions at Origin and Energy Australia including roles as Chief Financial Officer and Divisional Head of Finance. Prior to joining Ava Group, Neville was Group Chief Financial Officer at Redflex Holdings Ltd from 2017 to 2021. Neville is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business, and is based in Melbourne.
Matthew Nye-Hingston – Chief Operating Officer – BQT Solutions
Matthew is a Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the security industry. During his time with the AVA Group, Matthew has held various positions and led the transition of the locking division from a small entity to a highly-regarded operation with international reach. He has been instrumental in product innovation during his time as BQT CTO and has brokered distribution agreements with key global companies. Matthew spent many years developing and managing strong international supplier relationships and has a proven track record in overseeing effective operations and manufacturing. Matthew is based in Auckland.
Jim Katsifolis – Director of Technical Innovation – Future Fibre Technologies
Jim is an accomplished R&D leader and manager, with more than 20 years’ experience in the commercialisation of photonics and fibre optic technologies. Having joined FFT in 2004, he has been instrumental in the development, commercialisation, and patenting of FFT’s leading technologies. Jim’s specialist experience includes managing product lifecycles from research to in-market success and building and managing a complex patent portfolio. As Director of Technical Innovation, Jim is responsible for leading FFT’s innovation strategy and the productisation of innovations for existing and future products. Jim is based in Melbourne.
